The Publix Savannah Women’s Half & 5K will have an informal corral structure, where participants can sort themselves in whichever corral best suits them. We ask that participants please be courteous and not start in a corral that doesn’t match their running pace so that everyone has an enjoyable experience during the race.

The Publix Savannah Women’s Half will have 6 pace groups for the race. Pace group leaders will be holding signs with the appropriate time on their card. You can join a pace group by joining up at the start line or you can find out more information at the Fashion Fitness Expo table for pace groups. Pace groups are provided by Fleet Feet Sports Savannah.

The start line corral system allows for a smooth race start for participants of varying levels. Based on the estimated finish time that you provide on your race entry form, you are assigned a race number and corresponding corral, with other participants of similar running pace. Participants can freely change between corrals at the start line, except to the elite corral. Corral placement is merely for sorting purposes and is based on the honor system.

We have specific lots for parking at the Fashion Fitness Expo on Friday, April 5. Those lots can be found here >> EXPO PARKING

For race day, there are an abundance of city parking garages and on street parking available around Forsyth Park, which is where the start and finish line are. For Saturday parking options, click here >> RACE DAY PARKING

Before you enter your assigned corral, drop-off your pre-race/post-race clothing and belongings at the Gear Check. While you run, your gear will be held at Gear Check. Each participant will receive a large, durable gear bag at the Fashion & Fitness Expo when you pick up your packet that will serve as your gear bag on race day. The Gear Check tent will be located near the Start Line. Write your bib number on your bag in the space provided on the bag before you leave it with the Gear Check crew. After the race, reclaim your checked bag at the designated Gear Check area. Please note: DO NOT leave valuables, cash or jewelry in your gear bag. The event is not responsible for any lost items. Gear bags must be claimed before close of the Finish Line Festival on race day at 12:00 PM.

Participants are given a maximum time for both the Half Marathon and the 5K. The Half Marathon must be finished in 4 hours. The 5K must be finished in 1 hour. Click here for an official pacing chart.

There are 4 Medical Stations located along the half marathon course with 1 of those located on the 5K course as well. There is also a medical tent at the Finish Line area.

There are 6 Water Stations located along the half marathon route, with one of them located on the 5K course. Water stations will provide water, Powerade and portable restrooms.

To ensure the safety and well being of others during the race, please adhere to the following: No dogs, bicycles, roller skates, in-line skates or unauthorized wheeled vehicles will be permitted on the Half Marathon or 5K course. Jogging strollers are permitted with approval from the event organizers. To ask for approval, please contact us through the website.

Once you cross the finish line, you’ll enter the Secure Zone, a fenced off area designated for participants only. In the Secure Zone, you will have the opportunity to refuel with food and water as well as receive your finisher medal and participant gift. After leaving the Secure Zone, you CANNOT re-enter. Just outside of the Secure Zone, you will find the Post-Race Party area, as well as signs to point you in the direction of gear check and the family zone.

The Publix Savannah Women’s Half Marathon & 5K timing system is provided by the ChampionChip Timing System. Runners and walkers who wish to receive a time must pickup their timing chip at the Fashion Fitness Expo on April 5, 2019 at the Kehoe Iron Works at Trustees Garden or on race day during the scheduled packet pick-up time in Forsyth Park.

Please ensure the following in order to receive an accurate time:

• Race bib is clearly visible on the front of the torso

• Race bib is unaltered and unmodified (do not fold or wrinkle)

• Race bib is pinned on all four corners
